Absolutely infuriated with Red Bull Racing and Christian Horner.

The 2024 F1 season ended in disastrous results for the four Honda-powered cars, with Red Bull Racing finishing third in the Constructors’ Championship and RB itself ranked as low as eighth.

It’s fair to say this was entirely Christian Horner’s failure.

Despite Sergio “Checo” Pérez’s slump in form, Red Bull continued to keep him in the seat—a decision uncharacteristic of the team. In recent years, Pierre Gasly was dropped after just 12 races, and Alex Albon after 26. Yet, Checo finished lower in the Drivers’ standings than Albon did in 2020 and showed no signs of improvement in the latter half of the season. Regardless of the excuses, this failure to act lies squarely on Christian Horner.

Looking at the 2025 Red Bull lineup announced yesterday, I couldn’t help but feel it was proof that Christian Horner dislikes Yuki Tsunoda. On a broader scale, one might even call it a form of discrimination against Asians.

When you look at 2023 and 2024, Tsunoda clearly outperformed his teammates by a significant margin:

– **2023:** Tsunoda, 14th (17 points) / Ricciardo, 17th (6 points)
– **2024:** Tsunoda, 12th (30 points) / Ricciardo, 17th (12 points) / Lawson, 21st (4 points)

Even in last year’s dreadful car, Tsunoda managed to score 17 points, finishing ahead of Ricciardo, a race winner. This year, in a car that suffered from Red Bull’s disastrous updates, he finished 12th, demonstrating that he’s undoubtedly a standout performer among midfield drivers.

Yet, Red Bull and Christian Horner chose Liam Lawson as their 2025 driver. By any measure, this is an irrational decision. The drop to third in the Constructors’ standings was due to Checo and Christian Horner’s leadership.

In 2026, this awful team and Honda will end their partnership. If Tsunoda doesn’t have a seat next year, I won’t support Red Bull, as it’s clear they make decisions based on personal biases rather than merit.

While I like Max Verstappen as a driver, I can’t cheer for him as long as he’s with Red Bull.

Perhaps Tsunoda doesn’t have the resources to pay the contract penalties, or maybe he believes staying in his current position will benefit his career in the long run. Either way, it’s frustrating to see him spend what should be the prime of his career in such an unfavorable environment.

Aston Martin has been mentioned as a potential destination, but given that one of their driver seats is locked up by the owner’s son, it’s questionable how realistic that option is. Perhaps it’s time for Tsunoda to consider parting ways with Honda altogether.

This situation has made it clear that Honda will not be a positive influence on Tsunoda’s career moving forward. Without the ability to compete as a true Constructor, Honda’s future in F1 seems bleak.

I sincerely hope Tsunoda leaves Red Bull in 2026 and moves to a team that offers him better opportunities.

This is my heartfelt wish.
